We ensure that such subcontractors provide sufficient guarantees for implementing appropriate technical and organizational measures so that processing complies with the requirements of the GDPR and other applicable legislation, as well as safeguarding the rights of data subjects.

Emerge may also share your personal data if such sharing is necessary or appropriate under applicable law, to fulfill legal obligations, respond to public authority requests, protect vital interests of the data subject or a third party, safeguard Emerge’s rights and property, or when you have given prior consent.

Additionally, Emerge may share your data with partner entities that will access it for their own commercial and marketing purposes related to the project.

1.14.1 Under what circumstances do we transfer your personal data to third countries?
Emerge’s activities may involve transferring your personal data to third countries – located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area – even if such occurrences are occasional and related to the services used by Emerge.

In these cases, all necessary and appropriate measures will be taken to ensure the protection of your personal data.

One such scenario occurs in the context of Emerge’s presence on social media platforms, where there is limited influence over the data processing conducted by these platforms (e.g., member management and general information management). In situations where we have no influence, we strive, as much as possible, to ensure that social media operators comply with the privacy and data protection requirements of the GDPR. However, in many cases, we have no control over the data processing conducted by operators and may lack clear knowledge of which data is being processed at any given time.

Social media operators manage the entire IT infrastructure of the service, apply their own privacy and data protection policies, and maintain their own relationships with users (in cases where they are registered users of the social network). Furthermore, operators are entirely responsible for all matters related to user profile data that Emerge cannot access.

For more information on data processing conducted by social media operators, please consult their respective Privacy Policies:
